What I Want For Christmas

What I want for Christmas This Year:

No more hunger anywhere.

Hunger is still the number one killer in our world today.

1/3 of the worlds hungry people live in India, and 5 Indians die every minute from hunger. Hunger is the number 1 killer in India.

1.02 billion people around the globe do not have enough to eat.

Each and every year 15 million children die of hunger, with over 16,000 children dying every day from hunger related causes.

More than 60% of the chronically hungry people on the planet are women.

This situation, with people dying of hunger everyday, is simply unacceptable to me and to most people on the planet I would hope.

I have never been seriously hungry because even during my times of greatest financial hardship I had places and people to turn to for help.

However the majority of hungry people on earth today have nowhere to turn to and no one to help them.
Unless we do. You and I. Help feed hungry people wherever and whenever we can. And without sermons or judgement. Just food to feed their hunger.

Can one person make a difference? Certainly.  For the people you give food to, you may be the reason they did not go to sleep tonight crying from hunger. You may even save a life.

If you can do nothing else, then please consider donating a box of food to your local food bank.

There are hungry people, including hungry children, in your own city who are going to sleep with an empty belly unless someone like you helps them. Today.

You can also click on the hunger sites, or play the free rice game to feed hungry people, as listed immediately below. One click brings food to hungry people around the world. Please click everyday. Your click makes a difference.

One Click at a Time. Click these sites daily to donate food to the hungry.

Being Kind During the Holiday Season

During this Christmas season perhaps we can all be a little kinder to one another.
Just being kind to others may not seem like much but even the smallest act of kindness is like a stone thrown into water with beautiful ripples flowing out from it that you may never see or know about.

Being kind to the earth and every creature living upon it is the ultimate in kindness.
If everyone did that there would be no war, no hunger or homelessness, no deforested lands, no polluted skies or poisoned waters.

So today perhaps we can all be a little kinder to one another, to our planet, and to the waters, the skies, the forests, and all the living creatures upon our beautiful Mother Earth.

Planning to be kind and caring.

Sometimes we imagine that a kind and caring person was born that way, but nothing could be further from the truth.
For most a conscious decision was made at some point in their lifetime to be a kind and caring person.
Then they set kindness goals and ideals to live by and  made plans and preparations to carry out that decision.

Kindness builds on itself. If you decide to do one kind act a day, for example, you will soon find that you are doing far more than that.
I don't know exactly why this is so but I've seen it happen over and over.

The acts don't have to be big either.
Opening a door for an elderly person is easy, takes just a second, and is a kind act that won't be forgotten. Other small acts of kindness that you can regularly incorporate into your day include letting people go ahead of you in lines, or letting a car into the stream of traffic, or commenting positively on the service in a store or a restaurant.

Then there are the little kindness's that are often forgotten or ignored in the home like truly listening to your spouse or to your children, or speaking with respect and affection rather than impatience or using discouraging or critical words or looks.

"Kindness is like snow-it beautifies everything it touches." -anonymous

"If there is any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not deter or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again."
-William Penn

"Three things in human life are important.
The first is to be kind.
The second is to be kind.
The third is to be kind."
-Henry James

And be kind to yourself this holiday season too. Get out and have some fun like these ice skaters in Edinburgh Scotland are doing.

Five Easy Ways to Help Others This Year

1) Make a donation to your local food bank to help the hungry in your community. Or help pack food boxes or serve the holiday meal to local homeless people.

2. Gifts for Kids: Select a gift tag for a child from one of the Christmas tree displays in your local store and purchase the gift the child asked for.

3. Coat drives. If you live in an area with cold weather, then please consider donating a warm coat or two (scarves, mittens and gloves, and warm hats are needed too), to your local coat drive.

4. Recycle. Reduce. Reuse. For the planet and for you. Because it's a good thing to do, especially now during the holiday season when there is so much waste.

5. Donate school supplies to needy children in your cities schools.

Helping Others Without Spending a Bunch of Money

planting a tree
play the free rice game

Helping others and being of service is important to me, but so is frugal living, therefore I am always on the lookout for ways I can help others without spending a lot of money. I even wrote a previous post about ways you could make a difference for ten dollars or less:

Making a Difference For Ten Dollars or Less

I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say that they can't help other people because they don't have enough money. I don't have a large income right now either but I still manage to help quite a few people each year, and I support several causes close to my heart.

It seems to me that most people would really like to help other people, but have the idea that the small amounts that they could afford to donate would not make much of a difference to anybody. I used to believe that way too, but I know better now.

I've discovered many ways that anyone can make a difference in the world, for ten (10) dollars or less.

Lets start out with the unbelievable idea that you can actually do good in the world, and help others, for free. You don't have to spend one penny to help other people.

Here are some suggestions on how you can help others for free:

1. Click to donate sites allow you to do good in the world, for free, from your computer. Free Rice, for example, is a fun game you play that helps increase your knowledge, while at the same time you are "earning" rice to feed hungry people.
FreeRice

Charity Click Donation is a web site that puts a bunch of the click to donate sites together in one place for you to click on the ones you want to support.
Charity Click Donation - Give money to charity for free through charity clicks.

2. It costs nothing to be kind and caring, to treat people with respect, or to do something for someone such as help to carry heavy packages, open a door for someone, let a car go ahead of you in traffic, pick up litter on the street, or give someone a sincere compliment.

3. Search Kindly when you're searching the Internet, by making sure your searches are helping to support charity and worthy causes.
Your Searches Benefit Charities - Search Kindly

4. Recycle your household aluminum because aluminum is 100% recyclable, and it is so destructive to the environment to make aluminum in the first place. Not only does this cost you nothing, while benefiting the environment and many people you'll never know, recycling aluminum can actually make you money when you turn your aluminum in at the recyclers.

5. Recycle and donate all your unused coats, other clothing, and household goods to those who can use them. Donate coats and winter clothing to coat drives, shoes to shoe drives, and all clothing to women's shelters and homeless shelters.

Now, for one dollar ($1.00) what can we do?

1. The folks over at One Dollar Give have found plenty of good things to do with just one dollar. Check out their link.
The One Dollar Give: How Much Difference Can $1 Make?

2. Donate one dollar to your local food pantry. Or buy some food for a dollar and donate the food.

3. Buy a fleece hat or gloves at the dollar store and give to a homeless person or a needy person.

4. Give a dollar to a homeless person.

$2.00, another small amount of money, but still for that $2.00, at Alternative Gifts International, you can buy groceries for 1 person for 1 day.
Give a Gift in Honor of Someone - Alternative Gifts International

For $3.00, Alternative Gifts International will purchase one tree, and plant it, in one of the worlds deforested areas. Alternative Gifts International is a great place to find ways to help for just a little money.

feed hungry children around the world
1. For $4.00 they will provide one weeks supply of alternative charcoal for four families living in a deforested area of the world, thus sparing trees, and helping the families by saving them money.

2. $4.00 is also one day of support for one student in Kenya.

$5.00 will buy food to feed one family for one day, again through Alternative Gifts International.

For $6.00, you could purchase one pair of small animals for one Quecha Indian family in Bolivia.

2. That same $6.00 would also provide medicine and protein drinks for one child for one year.

3. $6.00 is also the cost of one share of water pipe or school supplies for a Gumiyuda school system.

For $7.00, you could provide care and food for an aged person in China who has no family.

$8.00 will fund one hour of job and skill training for one woman with no job skills.

Give a Gift in Honor of Someone - Alternative Gifts International

Food For The Poor, for $10.00, will provide three fruit trees to a hungry family living in Haiti. An avocado tree, a breadfruit tree, and a mango tree.
Food For The Poor | Helping the Poor, Charitable Giving, International Relief | Serving the Poorest of the Poor

2. $10.00 will also provide a mosquito net for people at risk for malaria through Nothing But Nets. Malaria is a huge killer world-wide and your $10.00 will save lives.
Home | Nothing But Nets Campaign

3. $10.00 at Global Giving can be used to support many different charities or relief efforts, including a school in the Dominican Republic for Haitian refugees.
GlobalGiving: donate to grassroots projects; education, health, microfinance

So, there you have it, several ways to help other people and make a difference in the world, all for under $10.00.
Many people spend that much everyday on junk food, expensive coffee drinks, or vending machine goodies. If you would rather use your money for good, then why not check out some of these charities, (or discover your own), and see how quickly these small amounts of donations can begin to make a big difference in the world.

So, there you have my original post of June 17, 2010.
Now the prices for some of the ideas listed above may have risen a bit, as many things have in this economy, but the basic idea is still very sound.
There are many things you can do to make a difference in the world for very little, or no, money.
So what are you going to do to make a difference this week?

Meaning of 1111 and Other Recurring Numbers

1111 Explanation
Have you been seeing 111 or 1111 lately?

"It was my quest to understand the haunting recurrence of the triple numbers that continued to show up that this page was first created."   -Angelscribe

-The words above, and all the rest of this article, was taken from Angelscribes  Angels and Miracles Newsletter. Angelscribe wants to spread the good news about miracles and angels to as wide an audience as possible so she wants to share this material with all.

Angelscribe continues:

"As you read the pages and pages of folks from all beliefs and all countries in the world you will soon see you are not alone in your experiences of seeing triple numbers.

It is as if some unseen force telepathically turns your eyes to the 1111 address on a house, to the clock at 11:11am then 1:11pm and again as you go to bed at 11:11pm...and it is!

What ever your belief, acknowledge that God/Spirit/Angels are telling you you are on your path and to say, "Thank-you" for them talking to you.

We would be startled/frightened if a huge Angel appeared to us, or God spoke into our left ear... we would most likely discount the information.

But, the recurrence of the triple numbers is a subtle and constant reminder that something magical something Divine is happening.

An experience very similar as portrayed in the movie, "Encounters of the Third Kind" when all the actors were searching ... searching for the meaning of the mountain...and their search brought them together, as the following pages will bring you together with others.

Dr. Doreen Virtue's book HEALING WITH THE ANGELS Healing with the Angels
explains more about triple numbers.

Angelic blessings,
Mary Ellen ^I^ "Angel Scribe"

Now, here is a thumbnail explanation of the number sequences that the angels use to communicate with us:

Whenever you see the sequence 111 or 1111 show up, it is a great sign of a golden opportunity. Both sequences mean that a "doorway" has opened up in which your intentions and goals will manifest extremely quickly. The Angels have taught me to focus my thoughts and intentions whenever I see 111 or 1111, almost like making a wish when a cake with candles is presented to you.
In addition, you may notice that 1's show up next to other numbers. The other numbers mean something, too. Anytime you see the number "4" next to 1's, it is a sign that the Angels seek to help you to manifest your heart's desire. For instance, 114, 411, etc. Four ones -- 1111 -- which adds up to "4" means that the angels want you to ask them to get involved with manifesting, especially when the manifesting involves your life's purpose or giving service to the world.
1's next to 7's means that you will experience great fortune, synchronicity or what some people would call "good luck" that will lead you to manifest your heart's desire. A "9" next to the 1's means that your goal is almost completed and/or that you are coming to the end of one phase of your life (one door is closing and another is opening). A "3" next to the 1's asks you to surrender your goals and desires to Spirit, and ask for guidance about what to manifest.
The angels seek to give us answers and guidance in so many ways, and when they call our attention to number sequences, it is a true sign of their love and power. The more you notice these signs, the more frequently they will show up in your life. Once you understand the signs' meaning, and once you accept that they are not coincidences, but purposeful events, you will enjoy even closer communications with your angels.

NOTE:
Mary Ellen ^I^ ordered her licence plate "ANGEL" and she was given the temporary plates in cardboard for her car window...with the expiration date of 11:11

Note: from Rob in the Netherlands
I had been practizing the Merkaba meditation now for almost one and a half year. This I had learned from a facilitator from The Flower of Life which, as an ancient secret and very powerfull meditation, has been brought back to earth by Drunvalo Melchizedek. According to Drunvalo the numbers have the folowing meaning and in these final times will repeatly show up in our lives because of the proces we have to go through. Here they are:
Three of more of the same number (digital clock 2:22, 11:11, etc.) 111: Energy flow * Enhancing whatever level you are presently in *
111 or 1111 Energy flow of water, money, sex, kundalini, magnetic
It happens when one of these energies manifests.

222 or 2222 In the middle of the proces of resurrection or the proces of ascension
333 or 3333 A decision number. Either one of the folowing can happen: 666 = material world or 999 = spiritual world.
444 or 4444 The Resurrection number.
555 or 5555 Christ consciousness
666 or 6666 Material world, chosen reality.
777: Symbolizes an integration of some portion of the four lower bodies with higher spiritual frequencies within the third-dimensional plane, or at level in which you are manifesting your physical reality on the Earth plan
888: Symbolizes infinity * The unified spiral of the physical merging with the Spiritual * Moving toward the completion of the ascension process through the energies of the 222 and 444
999: Symbolizes the three levels of the triune * completion
000: Great Void * Experiencing a null zone * switching or moving into a new energy field 11:11 Beginning of a whole new level or phase of development * Another dimension or frequency of experience * A PORTAL WAY OPENING *12:12 A COSMIC CONNECTION * A bridge to the future * Signifies a level of completion or graduation Pay attention to clocks, license plates, perhaps what you were doing at the time you sae that particular number.......what were you thinking, etc.I have found these to be very much a signal or sign after I have asled a question etc.

A little more about the #11 - could this be what we are all striving for?

Master numbers accentuate the meanings of the single digits, and for that reason they are considered to be the most powerful vibrations. They symbolize the expansion of consciousness through a series of steps or illuminations as growth takes place, until the ultimate of Christ Consciousness is attained.

Pythagorus said, "Eleven is the number of a cycle of new beginnings."

When the forces of the Eleven become fully operative in people, they have the power to change their environments, to create new conditions, to build new bodies and new lives, all in harmony with the Divine Image in whose likeness they were fashioned in the beginning.

Eleven is the number of Light.
LIGHT
39782
29/11

It represents the hidden "knower." We live now in these spirals of awakening, where every philosophic thought should be considered, balanced, and judged for its value. We should not be biased by past beliefs or present appearances. We should have no favorite "isms" or theories. Truth must be the primary objective as we enter realms hitherto unknown or considered.

Through the power of seeing through appearances (visualization), we climb further on the "ladder of Light." We may use E.S.P. (Extra-Sensory Perception) as a method of seeing into the subconscious mind, but let us explore also our I.S.P. (Inner-Sensory Perception) as a way to examine the Divine Spark within us, which reveals the God-Power of the soul. Enlightened souls have unfolded a revelation of the spiritual potential and will strive the more toward total oneness, and eventually illumination.

We desire, more than anything in the world, to know ourselves. When old knowledge no longer serves our growth, or when we cling to it because we fear to leave it for the unknown, we are no longer growing. If some new revelations seem strange, we must develop patience and allow time for reflection. To attain perfection, we need to stay true to the higher laws of the numbers under which we are working.

The number 11 stands for the self and the Christ-Self, as a polarity within as One, though embodied in the flesh. A new birth has occurred in our hearts as a "seed" of immortality; we envision a brighter horizon. An inner voice calls us, as it called Abraham of old: "Arise, get thee out of they country, into a land that I will show you." (Genesis 12:1) This new land meant a new and higher state of consciousness. "By faith, Abraham ... when he was called obeyed and went out." (Hebrews 11:8) A growing faith brings realizations of what is meant by "...substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen." (Hebrews 11:1)

When souls reach an 11 incarnation they are called "old souls." This expression is misleading. It does not refer to one old in years, or, older in terms of many incarnations, but older in reference to more growth in Light upon the Path. Such people are those who have glimpsed into what the Great Work will engender as they move toward the goal of Cosmic Consciousness. Jesus said, "Ye are the Light of the World." (Matthew 5:14)

Thus, we can derive that the Light Power within us demonstrates the power of God in Nature." "God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all." (I John 1:5)

Individuals living under an 11 vibration must find the Light and share it with all who come within their realm, as these dawning states of consciousness work toward awareness of ever increasing order in humanity.
