Tree hugging improves your health

Tree hugging improves your health

As a person who has always valued and loved trees, as well as known how healing it can be to be near them, I find it heartening to learn that science is now proving what many of us always knew; being around trees is good for you.

I have added a PayPal donation button to my blog, (it's located on the right side just underneath my photo and information), so that those of you who have benefited from the information and inspiration to be found in my blog can donate some money to support the blog and keep it going.
As many of you know, it takes a lot of time and energy to keep a blog going.

Please donate whatever amount you can. All donations are very welcome and appreciated, from $1.00 to whatever you want to donate! Thank you for reading my blog, and thank you for donating.

Repurposing or Don't Throw That Out

Used furniture for repurposing is everywhere

making good things from old pallets
-from Improvised Life

Not everyone is crafty, but for those who are, repurposing offers a great way to save money while saving items that would probably otherwise go to the landfill.

If you sew you can learn how to use the old clothes you have in storage or in your closets to make new items, or even gifts.

Plastic items are one thing that we all need to recycle and repurpose as much as possible. Too much plastic already litters our landfills, our roadways and parks, our beaches, and even our oceans.

The current economy is making us all a little bit more frugal and repurposing items you already have is certainly a great way to save money.
